Below is a link about the new Hummingbird Trail at the State Botanical Gardens that appeared on Online Athens!
Our speaker for August is our own Chuck Murphy. Chuck has been an avid amateur photographer for over four decades, and his interest in nature has led him to specialize in birds, bugs, and blooms. He teaches photography courses for The UGA Continuing Education Center, The Georgia State Botanical Garden, OLLI@UGA, and the UGA Continuing Education Center, is the past Program Chair for APG, and is the founder and leader of the Picture This! photo club at OLLI@UGA. His photo tours have taken him to all seven continents and around the world. You can check out his work on his website, www.boywithcamera.com.
Chuck’s presentation will focus on helping you make better photos of critters and flora, whether in your backyard or Botswana. He’ll cover tools of the trade, making the best photos with the equipment you have, where and when to go for the best photo ops, and tips to optimize your photos in post processing. It’s fun, healthful, and educational to get outside and shoot the best Mother Nature has to offer, so join us if you can for this presentation!
Judy Glenn has just started a Flickr page for anyone who has photos from the Hummingbird Trail at the State Botanical Garden. So, if you have any photos that you would like to share they can be posted here: Humming Bird Trail Photos
It’s that time again. Scott Kelby will announce the Photowalk tomorrow but I’m giving you heads up to this year’s walk.
We have already been approved to walk/tour Sanford Stadium again. So, if you are interested sign up fast. I would think/hope that it will max out at the 50 quick.
