April Meeting is Photo Prepping, Printing, & Presenting

Don Byram has been an APG member since 2007. In 2008 he opened Don Byram Art in Commerce, a full service framing shop specializing in custom giclée canvas printing. Don started photography using a Pentax 35mm camera while in college and, after a 20+ year layoff due to an interruption called a career, made it back to cameras, this time in the digital world.

His talk is centered on framing, the hows and whys a photographer should frame their work. And, if you don’t frame, what are the alternatives? He will be diving into the mysteries known as mats, glass, color choices and all about the care and feeding of your photographs!

You are invited to bring a couple of printed photos along, as he will have mat and frame samples at the meeting and will be happy to use some of your work as samples to show how the thought process happens when you are standing at a framing counter.
